I would like to share a little about our Fifth Energy Center, the Throat Chakra. It’s been coming up a lot for me lately, both in sessions with clients and also my own healing journey. It goes by the name “Vishuddha” in sanskrit, meaning purification. It’s linked to the colour blue and is located just by the center of our throat. This is a center where it is very common to have blockages. An all time classic, that so many of us are dealing with. Blockages in our energy flow can cause the chakras to go into overdrive or become inactive, resulting in different symptoms.
The Fifth Center is the center of communication, authentic expression and creativity. It governs our ability to make decisions, speak our truth, listen and understand, and to realise, accept and express our originality.
It is also a bridge that allows for energy that has been stored, or kept in the body, to rise upward and exit the body, through the throat and mouth. I’m sure you recognise how breathing, talking, singing, crying or shouting/screaming can bring a sense of great release. Energy that does not escape becomes stagnant and even poisonous in the body. It can manifest as timidity, frustration, passive aggression, low self esteem, insecurity, nervousness and so on.
When the Fifth Center is out of alignment, it’s linked with doubt and negative thinking. You may feel like you don’t have the right to ask for what you need, or find it hard to communicate freely, out of fear of ridicule and judgement. It can also make a person critical and judgmental about others, and cause lack of creativity and purpose. Physical symptoms can be problems like sore throat, thyroid problems, dental issues, and neck and shoulder pain.
When our Fifth Center is in balance, it affects our ability to be inspired and express ourselves freely, through communication and creativity. It strengthens our ability to listen and understand, stand up for what we believe, and say no when we need to. It is such a crucial center – of course they all are – but this one in particular has such a great effect on how we connect and relate to ourselves and others.
My two recent healing sessions have been about clearing blockages in the Fifth Center.
One client wished to break a negative pattern where she always gave up on being creative even before trying. She was also struggling with self-censoring and insecurity. Shortly after our session, she wrote me a super uplifting review, that she had surprised herself by picking up an old painting that she’d stored away for years, and that she’d found herself deeply inspired and in a creative flow that she couldn’t remember having experienced since childhood!🔥🌱🎨
My other client was struggling with perfectionism, never feeling like she was good enough, or knew enough, and often holding herself back from sharing her thoughts. During the session we did some good work, I removed a blockage, and she gained quite a few valuable insights. She later left me a wonderful review where she described how she now feels so much more relaxed, and that she finds it a lot easier to act on spontaneous ideas, and trust in her own judgement ❤️👏💪
I recognise so much in both of their stories, and what they’ve been dealing with, as I’ve struggled a lot with the same issues. Over the years I’ve had healing work done on my own throat blockages, which have made a positive impact on many areas of my life. Ironically, the last healing I received myself was also in the throat, making it a lot easier for me to write this post to you without fearing judgement 😉
Through personal work and client work, I feel like I’ve gained some expertise within this particular energy center, and I love assisting others in balancing theirs🗝🥰
If any of this resonates with you, I’ll be more than happy to do a free check beforehand to see if you have blockages that are ready to be healed. And I still have available sessions for only DKK 550,- if you decide it’s time to let them go 💙
